many things |
I have many things to blog about, and little time. Things I have been wanting to blog about are 1) School, 2) another trip to Wild Wild Wet on Thursday, and 3) Festival of Praise (FOP).
I guess I shall start with FOP first. I really enjoyed this year's, much more so than the last (and also first) time. I haven't really had the chance to be part of a congregation during praise and worship, because of my projection/vocalist/ushering duties. As a result I actually felt a little bit strange. But then I thought, hey, I should really make the best of this and praise and worship my heart out! And so I did.
They sang With All I Am. The moment I recognised the music I was like, Oh my God. Because this is a song that really speaks to me. Every time I sing it I am reminded of a picture God gave me one day while singing the song. It was during this part: I'll walk with You / Wherever You go / Through tears and joy / I'll trust in You...
Honestly, I have struggled in the past about trusting God, and sometimes when I sing lyrics like this I am not entirely sure if I can trust Him. But at that moment, He gave me a picture of Jesus carrying me through a valley of spikes. As in, there were all these spikes sticking up from the valley floor, and He was carrying me walking on them, and He was bleeding.
That's one picture I won't ever forget.
I thought Darlene looked really pretty that day, and she's really got an swesome voice. It is so strong, and yet so pretty. You know how some female singers have these really strong voices but they sound so rough and masculine? Hers isn't like that. And I should want to be able to sing and lead worship like her one day. =)
Delirious was really good as well. I jumped like nobody's business and discovered that my stamina seems to have improved! Yay. Enjoyed the message by Rev. Colin Dye as well. He was very funny about the bottle of Ice Mountain water he was given. "Take me some home to England." Lol.
And that's it for now. Sleep beckons!! |
