Everyone wants to find that special someone
I was clicking around on wholivesnearyou.com. Actually I can't really be bothered with these networks anymore, no time! But a friend (one of my 2 crazy JC crushes actually) had added me. In his profile he said that he's been single for all his life and 'nobody wants me, but nevermind, i love myself...' lol. It's quite funny considering that I once wanted him a lot. He was at that same time wanting this other girl whom I also knew....

Anyhow a church friend also said on his profile that he wants to meet that special someone. It may be common sense but it suddenly struck me then, how almost everyone I know (with few rare exceptions probably in denial) want to find that Mr. or Miss Right. Isn't it strange? Haha. I don't know. I used to puzzle over why on earth I'd want to spend my life with a fallible human being who would at times hurt and disappoint me, even leave me (perhaps no intentionally), when I already have a Husband who will never do any of that and never stop loving me. Then I realised that it was God who made us this way, who said that it wasn't good for man to be alone. Still, why would he do that? Why would He put this desire within us to connect with another human knowing that it would lead some of us away from His arms? But I guess saying that would be the same as asking why He would allow all that other stuff in the world that leads us astray.

What would Freud say? That we really just want someone to connect with physically? Muahaha. Sorry, I find the man's ideas ridiculously funny. Not that I know that much about his ideas, so I better shut my trap. Anyhow most of this theories have been widely discredited but still oft mentioned. There's no running away from the man with the funny beard.

Anyways. Some days I still find it puzzling.
