vampire dreams |
I had a strange and fantastic dream last night.
I dreamt that there was this super vampire who was rich and powerful, somewhat like a king over all the other vampires. He was very strong and had the ability to turn himself invisible. I think he also could change his appearance. He lived in a mansion complete with swimming pool and all the works. He did whatever he liked. One night this man sneaked into his grounds and of course he was caught and killed. The vampire had this Wolverine-like claws, but instead of protruding betweetn his knuckles, his fingers transformed into these claws when the need arose. Somewhat like a wolfman. I think I was in my dream different characters at different times, and sometimes I was just watching everything from above. During the hunting, I felt the fear and panic of the man, and yet I could see, unlike him, where the vampire was lying in wait to pounce. During the hunt he had dark long hair and looked almost like a wolfman. Don't know what the man was doing there though.
The next day the police came to investigate. The vampire was lying on the floor invisible, when it suddenly occured to him that it might be better if he showed himself and pretended to be a victim instead. An officer was on a really long ladder investigating the chandelier (I think - something on the ceiling that is), and when he came down he saw this old man lying on the floor. Now he looked like Anthony Hopkins (who played Hannibal). He was put on a stretcher, hooked onto an IV and rushed to hospital, and suddenly there was this woman who appeared. She went with him into the ambulance. She seemed to know him very well, but I don't know what her relationship to him was. One of his lovers perhaps. I have the feeling he didn't recognise her either, but was just playing along before he could figure out her motive, and also because he was hungry. When vampires are hungry and cannot get blood they can be satisfied temporarily by indulging their carnal desires, but nothing beats drinking blood. In my dream at least.
Then he had this dream or vision where he saw that both the man he'd killed and the woman by his side were actually vampires. They had made use of him for some secret plan of theirs (possibly revolt). He watched as they revived their 'dead' comrade, who turned out to be a really beautiful, blonde, sexy she-vamp. The process of reviving her involved removing all the mucus in her nose (later I realised this was actually 'me', because I had a blocked-up nose and it was bothering me in my sleep). Someone actually reached inside her nose and started pulling out mucus. Ew. Once she woke up - of course all the gross mucus magically disappeared - she said, "Oh well, time for dinner."
The super vampire saw this and felt, for a moment, sad and lonely. Despite his power he was shunned by all, perhaps out of fear and loathing.
Then I woke up and blew my nose on my quilt blanket before realising what I had done. Ok I know, really gross. I wonder why I did that! Haha.
I don't know where this dream came from. I was watching Home Run and this Korean movie about a boy and his grandma last night! Didn't read anything vampire-related either. But you know what, I like this vampire character. He appears to be cold and heartless but he's really just lonely. I used to watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer and he's kind of like Spike (whom I thought was really sexy even though he had black fingernails! -ew!!), only much more powerful. Towards the end Spike went a bit silly and fell in love with Buffy. Yikes. But yeah, this vampire actually has a heart, like Spike. They're both intensely lonely and even though they try to fill themselves up with material possessions and by fulfilling every carnal desire, they always end up emptier, lonelier.
I might write a book one day about this character. For some reason "The Vampire of LeRoy" appeals to me. Haha. But mine would have him finding divine grace and seeing, for the first time, the evil he had done, to be destroyed by that (because vampires are immortal and since he's so powerful no common wooden stake can kill him), then be revived by the same divine grace, only this time a full mortal human.
Don't copy my idea ok!!!! xP |

I think my dream has emotional roots. I identify with the super vampire as well as the man who was hunted down by him. Erm also with the she-vamp because of my blocked nose. I dream of these things occasionally. Spirits, chopped up corpses - dreamt of them before too.
Maybe also cos' it's the 7th month? But then 7th month is more like ghosts and spirits.
I will ask you to help me proof-read if and when I write the story! :D
