Back from Langkawi!! |
Actually, I've been back since Sunday, but I didn't touch my laptop till Tuesday, and am only posting this now. (Yay. I should be spending a lot less time on the computer.) So you must be withering to find out just how it was (or maybe not but see if I care xP)!
It was good. Very relaxing. =)
My roommate was Hannie, and in the adjoining room was PT, Weiling and her 12-year old (but rather precocious) cousin Jia Jia. Our rooms were connected by a common doorway with 2 doors, both of which could only be opened from one side. That is if I wanted to go to their room but their door was closed, there was nothing I could do except knock/bang on the door and vice verse, depending on how urgently the person needed to enter that room. They had a balcony, which was separated from the next balcony by a rather low railing which one could quite easily climb over, onto the balcony of the next room which belonged to Sarah and SK. That room, in turn, was connected to Tommy and Alvin's, so effectively the 4 of our rooms were connected, though it was PT's room that was visited the most by me and Hannah. The guys did not venture so much into Sarah's room either.
We had a game to help us find our roommates and game groups for the camp. We were each given an envelope, in which was a piece of paper and a clothes peg. On mine read, "COW". We were supposed to go around making the sound of that animal to people, and if we made the same sound we were in the same group. I was glad mine didn't say "CHICKEN". Lol.
To find our roommates we had to look at our clothes peg. Mine read "TOMATO". We were supposed to go around and find someone whose peg read something that was related. I found "CARROT" which was Hannie. Not very exciting, I thought. Jo's peg and those of her roommates' read "Wo Ai Ni (I Love You in chinese)" or "Ni Ai Wo (You Love Me)", whichever way you want to read it. The best, I thought, was "BATMAN" and "ROBIN" which was what Tommy and Alvin's pegs read respectively. Well, if you know Tommy and Alvin, you'd understand why it's funny... =D
I shall be posting more on Langkawi by and by. Actually, I've already typed it up, but it's so long, it's gonna be one gargantuan post. |
