| Visit to the dentist |
I went to see Sheena's dentist last week. My last dental appointment was 3 years ago! The last time I went, I was bleeding all over the place - I have sensitive gums. In between my mum got a really bad infection in her gums and it got so bad she couldn't even eat cos' it hurt like mad. Which made me fearful that it would happen to me too - I've been told I have weak gums since primary school. I've been having occasional pains in some teeth at the back, and I've been wondering whether it's because of my wisdom teeth (which the dentist told me 3 years ago were growing out) or because I have - Godforbid - cavities!
So it was not without trepidation that I entered the dentist's office (office?) that day. Guess what he said though. He said that my teeth are "very nice" and "there's no problem"! Except that the upper set sticks out a bit, but I have no problem with that. People have always been telling me that I have very neat teeth anyway. And when he cleaned my teeth, there was surprisingly little bleeding. Turns out that the pain was indeed due to my wisdom teeth growing out. He advised me to take out one of them, but that's not an urgent matter.
Thank God, anyway, that my gums have miraculously become healthy on their own without me doing anything! Thank God! :) |
