I watched Eight Below today with Halima, Evelyn, Jo, and her friend Justin. The scenery is gorgeous. There is this scene where they film a sea with the surface frozen over and it looked like jade. Very very dark green jade. I've never seen sea like that before. And the ice formations. Majestic and dangerous. Like their Creator. :) The dogs stole the show, this I have to say. Nothing fantastic about the plot and the acting, but it is a very pretty picture. Hmm maybe with the exception of the fake looking I'm-guessing CGI leopard seals. The story in and of itself is touching though. Almost cried a few times. It reminded me of how sometimes when I don't see God and I feel that He isn't there...but it's not true at all. And He will always find me again, no matter how lost, how broken, how wretched. If I'm willing to let Him come. And now the title of my post As a certain friend might say: "I see zui (water) in your eyes" - hahahaha This picture doesn't do them justice at all. I've never seen eyes so blue and clean and clear when the light falls on them. Like pools of fresh water. xP (If you're wondering, these belong to Paul Walker) |
