Turning 19!
Tomorrow. 13th October. I was an early afternoon child. Perhaps that is why I like the early afternoons; morning is too early and late afternoons signal the end of daylight. I am nostalgic about daylight and often feel a little sad when the last of dusk fades.

Actually, I've felt 19 all this year. Perhaps because it strikes me very deeply that the year I turn 19, I'm redoing something the year I turned 18. Something very important, potentially life-changing, which I did not do well enough for last year.

But no matter. I have reflected often in this period since March, and I have learnt many things which I might not have learnt if not for my circumstances. I have learnt to trust God more, instead of relying on what I feel and what the world says. I have learnt that I don't have to be the same; I can change; I can be better. I have learnt that I can take control of my emotions and not let them dictate what I say or do. I have learnt to let go of certain people, and certain things. I have learnt that He is all that matters. I have learnt that I am called for a great purpose which is above all that I as a human can imagine.

I am still learning.

Anyway, enough of nostalgia already. So excited about tomorrow. Going to Nana's house to make cheesecake, then we're off to the zoo. She asked me where I wanted to go. I thought about it.

1. Parasailing
Pastor's description of it made me feel like trying it out! To feel the wind in my face...

2. Hot air balloon
Thanks to our 'excellent' tour guide we missed this when I went to NZ last year.

3. Helicopter ride
Donald Trump zipping around in helicopters on The Apprentice.

4. Speedboat ride
Tried this in NZ. Really, really cool and fun. I wanted to shout I LOVE JESUS to the wind buffeting my face.

5. Somewhere really scenic where I can watch the sunrise/sunset, and picnic.

Hmmm. Realise that most items have got to do with flying or the wind. Haha. I love the sky! Note also that most of them are not available in Singapore!

Items 4 and 5 only just came. Ok actually I thought of item 5 too, but that wouldn't really be the kind of thing I'd wanna do with Nana lah. Heehee.

By the way, Nana is NOT my granny!

Ooh just thought of this:

6. Horse ride by the beach. Or horse ride anywhere. Then picnic and walk by the shore.
Yes, yes, that is like so cliched.

So then, I thought of going to...the ZOO! I haven't been there in ages. Then I got home, opened the mailbox and there were these vouchers from NTUC Income:

Complimentary Museum Visit (admits 2 for single entry to any of the 5 museums)

Which is pretty cool really, but I checked them out on their websites, nothing really interests me. This is like the first real break (unplanned slacking doesn't count!) for me in a long long long long time and after some thinking, I decided I'd rather spend it at the Zoo! Heehee.

Besides, the admission fee for one adult is only three bucks. So two people, six bucks. Not much of a deal...so once again the Zoo it is!!

Woohoohoohoohoohoo! Fun fun fun.

I'm going to the zoo zoo zoo zoo zoo....

Ahem. xP
