Saturday~ |
Yes, it's an incredibly unimaginative title, but I can't think of anything else now.
Thoughts and things from Saturday that I didn't have time to post:
I like the feeling of the sun hot on my skin after coming out from a cold room. Where when I touch my arm, it feels hot too. Probably not very good for the body, but well.
There is a company called "The Mighty Maids". They offer laundry and mobile housekeeping services. I laughed seeing it. How corny. Big white words in Comic Sans font on a cheery white green background. It's near(or is it at?) Siglap Centre at East Coast.
Searched for "The Mighty Maids" online and found that there are actually companies in the US with the same or similar names. Imagine hiring their services and opening the door to, "Hi, I'm a Mighty Maid, and I'm here to make your house all clean and sparkly!" Lol.
It's unsettling that the fellow who plays the son of one of the doctors in Nip/Tuck looks like Michael Jackson. It's unsettling that a person can even look like Jackson in the first place, much less be on a much hyped about TV show in which he is a regular character (of course, neither his mom or dad look anything like him). In the very first episode, I thought, well ok, maybe it's the hair. In the second ep, however, his hair was shorter, like in the picture, and he still looked unsettlingly like Jackson...and is actually somewhat unsettlingly attractive in that sense. Creepy or what! I think it's the complexion and the eyes.
Jackson is not at all attractive, though he used to be, when he still looked normal.
This is funny: Michael Jackson's Trial.
This just came to me: I think vulgar words have been overused to the point where it doesn't really mean anything to say the f-word, it just sounds awful. I don't use them, though. I see no point in doing so. It's only when I'm extremely agitated that they slip my tongue.
Singapore Idol on 5 - 10 Things You Should Know About the Auditions
(And no, I'm not auditioning, though I briefly thought of it. I'll be in Malaysia anyhow. Church camp! =D Better is favour in Christ than fame in this world.)
6. Please remember that the audition process may take up till several hours, so please plan accordingly. Do ensure that you have a hearty breakfast before queuing at the venue, and come prepared for an audition process lasting several hours. [I think they mean the waiting process!]
7. If you are under 21 years of age as of the date of registration, you are allowed to bring a parent or guardian with you, but they will only be allowed into the Reception & Registration Areas, based on the day's turnout. [Huh. You need a babysitter?]
8. For those over 21, guests will be permitted based on the day's turnout. No guests - family or friends - are allowed into the audition room with you. [Du-uh!]
9. PLEASE COME DRESSED TO IMPRESS, but remember NOT to wear clothes with visible logos, trademarks or offensive language. [What if they love Channel 5 so much they wanna wear a shirt with that logo? Not allowed ah?]
