Answered Prayers and Favours!
Gosh, I've been so immensely blessed by the Lord today. First of all, I finally went for tuition today after dilly-dallying and procrastinating for ages (my specialty).

"Lord, please let me have a cab soon."

Within 5 minutes, a cab arrives.
At first I don't even notice it (was thinking) until it slowed down about 5m away, and then I stuck out my hand.

"Thank You, Lord."

Let me testify that I've always had a cab come quickly after I pray...and it's darn hard to catch a cab from my place. Apparently, they all go into hiding when I need one. Haha. The ONE time it didn't come fast, it didn't matter that I was half an hour late. =P

"Lord, please let the session go well today. No fear. I must do it."

I was rather nervous about it actually, but it went well.
The tutor seemed like someone who really cared about helping his students do their best. I was a little taken aback by his rather messy hair, but I thought, ah well. His study was piled with books literally from top to bottom and in piles. Amazing. A lot of textbooks, ten year series etc...also saw this book entitled The Encyclopedia of Pathology.

Guys, remember the 'Cover-Up Rule'? He was the one who introduced it in NJC in 1972. I supposed when he said that it meant he was the one who discovered this method?? Didn't ask. He said it took a lot of persuading of Cambridge before they agreed to include it in the syllabus.

Anyhow, to carry on. As usual, blur lost sheep took the bus from the wrong direction again.

Friend: "Of course! There's a reason why we call you sheep you know. Good luck in finding your way home! Go sheep go!"

Thankfully, blur lost sheep has wised up after being lost so many times and she realised she was travelling, or rather, being transported in the wrong direction. So she gets down and goes opposite to take the bus.

And gets a free ride!

My ezilink card is empty. I open my wallet and start fishing for coins...

Bus driver: "The bus can't accept cash now. The thing's out of order."

Me: "Then how?"

No reply from bus driver. However, he doesn't chase me down the bus or even say anything, so I stay, getting down at this station relatively near my stop because i felt bad about not paying.

Digression: When I was small, I stole. I only just remembered this today. In primary school, I'd underpay bus fares and most of the time the bus driver would simply press the button for my ticket and not notice that this innocent looking, cute little girl was underpaying. I got caught once, though. That was when I didn't have a 5 cent coin so I only put in 40 cents. The bus driver (a woman) noticed but she was still quite nice about it. The only coin I had left was a 50 cent coin so I put in in.

Back to today. I had to get this orange, long sleeved, collared top for singing this Sunday (we're doing a series of special services so each week the CORE: WORSHIP team dresses according to a colour theme) and I was thinking, where am I gonna find an orange long sleeved collared top? Orange is not a very 'office-y' colour (hence would be hard to find at shops that sell 'office-y' clothes)...and not many people wear orange...hardly see orange clothes in shops...

"Lord, please let me find the top today."

I found it right in the first shop I entered. It was a little pricey, $39.90. But I felt something (the Spirit?) prompting me to try it and then to buy it. Which I did. It looked nice, I actually liked it (before I was thinking that such a top would be kind of tacky) and guess what. There wasn't a single orange long sleeved collared top in all the other shops I went into!

I was wrong about orange being tacky though. I think it's starting to become 'in' now, cos' I saw some rather comely bright orange tops elsewhere (but none long sleeved and collared). Haha. I love the candy colours around now. Good enough to eat. =D

Found nice cheap low heels ($19.90) too! My 'old' (if 5 months is old...) white pair are getting worn down and uneven and it hurts to wear them. You must be thinking, that girl has too many shoes! But hey! I really need them. A while ago I bought a pair of cream pumps ($20.90 I think) but they're all scratched now...

Digression again: Just realised I don't have a single pair of white shoes that i wear regularly now. I used to be all into white strappy shoes, but of late I've been adventurous and getting black, cream, brown ones...ok ok enough about clothes and shoes... =P

Was really hngry by the time I got home, so I thought I'd go to the cute little shop in the basement of White Sands and buy a potato pattie (somewhat like a croquette). I tell you, those are delicious! Crispy on the outside and mashed potato-soft on the inside. Mmmmmmmm. Guess what?

Not only was the guy at the counter a cutie (hahaha) but there was an offer: buy 3 get 1 free! Great! Now I can let my parents try it too.

So that was my fantastic day. Thank You, Lord!!! =D =D =D =D
