You Know RJ Helton?
Praise God for young people like him, who let God use him even in things like American Idol, using the opportunity to share Christ. Praise God, because even though a lot of the contestants claim to be Christians, they aren't showing it much, and what with judges like Paula Abdul (I'd be lying if I said I don't find her annoying) who say things like, "That was a religious experience. Amen!" (Not exact quote) OH GEEZ! What pure blasphemy. Her life must be right sad if she thinks listening to a secular song can be a religious experience. Anyway, praise God for people like him who turn down secular music companies to sign with a Christian label. This is a young man with a heart purely for God, and not for fame or money or any of those things people enter the American Idol contest for. And you know what? He was abused sexually as a child, and praise God for bringing him through so he can be used now.
Sure is something to smile about. =) |
