Spongebobs, Blue Talking Dogs and Blog-readin' Moms
According to Kids' Choice on Kids Central (hosted by the ever bubbly - sometimes too bubbly - Evelyn), the cartoon character that kids would most like to hang out with is Spongebob Squarepants!!!! Hurray!!!! Lol. Well. Although I love to watch the cartoon, I doubt I'd enjoy hanging out with Spongebob a lot. He'd be a (10)^n times crappier and lamer than certain guys I know (who drive me crazy enough already as it is) and I'd wanna kill him but I won't be able cos' he's a cartoon sponge. He's indestructible. And I wouldn't bear to break the poor sponge's spongy heart.
The other day, watching Harvey Toons (okay, I'm a real cartoon junkie...) I realised how sadistic they were. There was this rather shocking part where the big bad wolf's (or was it a fox) head blew up sky high and separated into the various components - eyes, nose etc and fell back onto the wolf's neck in a scrambled mass. EW. And there's this totally indestructible duckie that can walk out of a hot oven alive. Right.
Check out this link. It's an article about this mom who found out about her 30 year old son's blog...found it to be quite funny, actually.
And now Blogger's advice on how to keep your mom's nose out of your blog.
These are my own comments: On retrospect, maybe you really shouldn't be doing things your mom tells you not to. Like do drugs and casual sex and stuff, like that 30 year old man. Hello, he's 30 and still hasn't figured his life out? But then again, who I am to judge. It's not like I do everything my mom tells me to (like tidy up my stuff). At least I know a life of excess will lead me only to ruin.
It's funny how sometimes I know I shouldn't care about how some people think/say about me or say to me, because in time all this will pass and it's not worth agonising myself over such transcient, ephemeral stuff. And yet I do, because these people matter to me. If only they knew how much. Well, He has made all things beautiful in its time. I suppose that time has yet to come, but it will. I just have to be patient. =)
I know I had a strange dream last night, but I can't remember anything of it now. I dreamt the day before too, a strange dream. Or was it a series of dreams? Hmmm.
Oh, I forgot about the Blue Talking Dogs bit of the title. There's a weird new Disney cartoon on Central (Teacher's Pet) at 12:30 (no more Hercules - my hero! =|). It's about this blue doggie who longs to go to school, and that's just what he does. And he's smarter than all the other fourth graders. Talk about an upside down world, where dogs are blue and your pets can talk and dogs have homework to do and do it better than you. And you have a oval head with a nose that sticks out like Pinocchio's. Well, that's not so odd, appearance-wise. That's cartoons for you. |
